An Editor Dead.

Mr. Ed Hill, the editor of the Johnson City Times, died last Saturday.  He had practically recovered from a severe attack of the measles and attended a ball, which was the cause of his death.

Ed was a new hand at the paper business, but success seemed to stare him in the face from the start.  It grieves us no little to record his sad death.

Died.

Jas. Jackson, on last Monday at his home near Smithwick.  He was a good citizen and a devout Christian.

He was the son of the Hon. Riley Jackson.

Our sympathies are with the bereaved ones.

Transcriber's note:  There is a James F. Jackson buried in Smithwick Cemetery.  He was born 30 April 1861 and died 24 July 1899.
