RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT

Whereas, God in his wisdom has seen fit to lay the icy fingers of death upon the brow of our young friend, Lizzie Horne,  taking from us a true friend and loving Sunday school and Church worker.

Whereas, while we cheerfully bow to the wisdom of God in his mysterious dealing, yet we feel the great loss that we sustain in the removal of our dear young friend from us.

Lizzie was born July 24, 1890; died Dec. 19, 1910.

She was the daughter of Bro. A. W.  and Sister Bettie Horne.

She professed faith in Christ and was baptised into the Briggs Baptist Church by Bro. D. P. Airhart in 1904.

Her young life was a beautiful example of Christian Consecration, a fitting symbol of the Savior's words, "I came not into the world to be ministered unto, but to minister."  Her life was indeed a living ministry to others; therefore,

Resolved 1.  That her life was spent in the most useful way, it being her greatest desire to please God in what she did.

Resolved 2.  That in all our relations and social contact with her we found her consistent, generous; steadfastly vindicating the right and vigorously condemning the wrong, friendliest of the friendly and truest of the true.

Resolved 3.  That we extend the greatest condolence to the bereaved relatives and friends.

Mrs. J. W. Edgar,
Haskell Butler,
Lola Cloud,

Committee
