<>Jose Montemejor, (Mexican Joe) died at his residence 5
miles north of town, at 7 p. m. Jan'y 7th. He was buried in the new
cemetery Monday evening.
All of our Mexican population and a
considerable number of citizens followed his remains to the grave.
His death is a loss to this entire community, especially the
Mexicans, and no man however poor and ragged ever applied to him,
that he didn't get assistance.
His disease was asthma, and his age
between 50 and 60 years.
