William Risinger passed away Friday night, December 30th, at his home near Lake Victor. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the family home, and interment followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. A.V. Feilds and Bro. Jasper Chambers.

Mr. Risinger was born February 1, 1844, in the state of Illinois and came to Texas with his parents at the age of three years. He had lived in Burnet County for many years and was a successful stockraiser of this section and was one of the original stockholders in the Peoples National Bank, when it was organized in Lampasas. He was a man who was kind and considerate of his fellow man, but was always ready to take a stand on all questions of right and wrong and taught his children to be honest and upright men and women. He is survived by his widow and twelve children who mourn his passing away.

Mr. Risinger was first married to Miss Emily Barnett, November 28, 1867, and to this union seven children were born; two of them, J.M. Risinger of Edinburg and Mrs. F.A. Ramsey, Jr., of Houston, survive. He later married Miss Sarah J. Barnett and to this union, eleven children were born. Ten of them survive and are: Mrs. B.A. Fuller of Lampasas, Mrs. H.A. Flach of Beaumont, Mrs. T.J. Ray of Edinburg, Horace Risinger of Lake Victor, John Risinger of Lake Victor, Mrs. R.V. Barrett of Lake Victor, Joe E. Risinger of Agua Dulce, Mrs. Everett Kenan of Lake Victor, and Mrs H.E. Ellebracht. He also leaves forty-five grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.

The deceased was converted at the age of 23 and lived a true christian life and though he has passed on, his influence and good deeds will be manifest in the lives of those he has come in contact with.
