Mrs. Mary Stewart of the Lake Victor community, was called by death at the Shepperd-Allen hospital in Burnet on Nov. 7, 1943.  The body was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Rev. Sinclair of San Antonio, conducting the service.  Arrangements were under the charge of the Northington Funeral Home of Burnet, and the pallbearers were: Boss Warner, Buck Fariss, Forest Shelby, Ira Feild, Worth Hutto and Harry Mallett.

Mrs. Stewart was born Nov. 11, 1854 in Travis County, Texas, but had been a resident of Burnet county for many years.  Her husband, the late T. J. Stewart, preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1931.  She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kate Tooke of Lake Victor, two sons, Frank Stewart of Mullen, Texas and J. W. Stewart of San Saba, and one brother, Frank Latty of San Antonio.
