Jenkins Taylor was in the Navy; his ship was
the USS Annapolis. He was stationed mainly around Cuba and Tampico Bay,
Mexico. He entered the Navy in 1917 and was discharged sometime in early 1919 with the rank of
Chief Water Tender.
