Jimmy Alson Taylor, 65, of Austin, died Sunday, April 23, 2000. He was born June 14, 1934, in Oatmeal, the son of Tom A. and Ellen Bird Taylor.  He had been employed most of his life as a Carpenter and Truck Driver.

 Survivors, include his mother, Ellen Taylor of Austin: three sons, Jimmy Lee Taylor, Tommy Lynn Taylor and Danny Joe Taylor, all of Austin: two daughters, Brenda Kay Larson of Georgetown and Sharon Diane Lusk of Greenwood, Ind;  two sisters, Nita Phelps of Spicewood and Barbara Carpenter of Poughkeepsie, Ark. and five grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday, April 27, at Clements-Wilcox Chapel in Burnet. Burial followed in Bear Creek Cemetery, near Bertram.
