Up to last Saturday, the
surveying corps of the H. & T.C. had gone as far as Mesquite (14
miles north of Burnet) one third of the way to Lampasas. This is
the preliminary survey. There will be one or two others.
The impression seems to be that the new depot will be built upon the
old site. |
A social meeting of the W. C. T. U. was held at the residence of Mrs. Ealy Moses in commemoration of the birthday of Miss Francis E. Willard, Monday afternoon, Sept 30th. |

Mr. Ed Hendley and wife, who have been residing for some time in Kingsland, have returned to Burnet to the delight of their many friends. Mr. Hendley has accepted a position as Salesman with A. W. Miller & Co. Ed is a [text missing] and pleasant man to trade with, and the firm is to be congratulated in adding him to their already affable corps of clerks. |
NOTICE.
This is to give notice that my two places, the Rucker place and the Boggess and Grove pasture, are posted, and all persons tresspassing will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
