from near Lampasas spent a few days in Burnet this week on business.

Mrs. Jim Baker
who has been dangerously ill is on the road to recovery.



C. E. Deese and Mrs. J. D. Riley of Bertram were in Burnet on business last Friday.

Fresh Candy of the best varieties just received at McFarland's.
Buford Hubbard and sister, Mrs. P. D. Starr, of Kingsland visited relatives in Burnet last week.

Mrs. S. P. Garrett, who has been spending a month with her husband on his ranch in Blanco Co., returned Monday.  She reports Mr. Garrett's cattle doing well with no losses to date.

Mr. P. T. Talbot, a prominent merchant of San Marcos spent a few h ours Sunday with his daughter, Mrs. J. L. King.  He was enroute to New Orleans and St. Louis.

Rev. B. E. Bowmer has sold his farm and residence, a mile south of town to Mr. Pierce Green.  We understand that Mr. Bowmer  and family will move to Bertram.  Our loss of this estimable family will be Bertram's gain.
18 pounds of Granulated Sugar $1.00 at DORR'S.

We sell school tablets, pens, pencils and ink.  The Warner Drug Co.
Miss Lula Ater who had been visiting Miss Minnie Bowmer for several weeks, returned to her home at Bertram, last Sunday.

The Sheriff of Donally county was in Burnet this week on official business.  He was after a young man charged with a burglary in his county, and who had been arrested by Sheriff Arbuckle.  Through regard for the feelings of the unfortunate young man's mother, we refrain from calling names.
A great many of our out of town friends have found a difficulty in locating our office, since our removal, owing to the fact that we have not yet found time to move our sign.  We will try to get the matter properly arranged this week, after our paper is issued.
