• Hick Tate is building a nobby home on the hill.
• Joel M. Bowlby who did good serving as Assistant in the Marble Falls Post Office and as private teacher, left recently for St. Louis where he has through his employe here, procured a good position--rather choice of three good positions.  While in Marble Falls, Mr. Bowlby showed a mastry of the divine art of minding his own business and during his work without making much cackle about it.  Billy wishes him well.
• Mr. Schuyler Lewis is the new peace officer in Marble Falls, where he has been stationed by Sheriff Magill.  Billy is almost a stranger to Mr. Lewis as yet as are most of Marble Falls people, but he may depend upon it that Marble Falls believes in enforcing the law and he will find the people behind him holding up his hands in doing that.  Billy likes the way Mr. Lewis talks about enforcing the lawand will look forward to that being done as effectively as heretofore, which means O.K.
• Both Sunday Schools are remembering the little folks to Santa Claus as usual.
• H. Von Rosenberg contemplating going to Southern California soon.
• Mr. and Mrs. Sam Smith of Tennessee are guests of Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Skaggs.
• Col. F. H. Holloway is a late business accession to Marble Falls, he having opened a feed store by proxy here.
• A prominent official of the U. S. Government is expected to visit friends in Marble Falls soon as a social visit.

An ordinance to prohibit horses, mules, jacks, jennets, cattle, sheep and goats from running at large within the corporate limits of the town of Burnet to provide for and regulate the impounding of any such animals unlawfully permitted to run at large; to authorize the City Secretary to impound the same; to fix reasonable pound fees; to provide for the sale and disposition of impounded stock; to provide for the redemption of the same and the payment of the net proceeds of the sale of impounded stock to the owner thereof; and providing a penalty of rescuing impounded animals.
