The Bertram Monitor is neutral on the coming local option election; The Marble Falls Messenger is a strong prohibitionist, but prevers not to have the question discussed in its columns; everybody knows how the Bulletin stands, but it believes in fair play and places an equal amount of space at the disposal of both pro and anti. |

THE STATE OF TEXAS To All Persons Interested in the Estate of J. D. Riley, Deceased: Mrs. L. V. Riley, administratrix of the Estate of said J. D. Riley, Deceased has filed in the County Court of Burnet County her final Account of the condition of said Estate, together with an application to be discharged as administratrix thereof, which will be heard by our said court on the 15th day of February A. ORDER FOR PROHIBITION ELECTION
It is ordered by the Court on its own motion, as well as on the petition of S. W. Holland
and over 500 other qualified voters in Burnet County, that an election
be held in said Burnet County, on the fifth day of March, 1904, at each
and all of the regular voting places in said County, to determine
whether or not the sale of intoxicating liquors shall be prohibited in
said County; and it is further stated that the [missing text]
...shall hold said election and make returns thereof as the law directs; and it is further ordered that the County Clerk post at least five copies of this order at different places in said county in the manner and for the length of time as required by law, and that he also cause a copy of this order to be published in the Burnet Bulletin for 20 days successively before the 5th day of March 1904, and that notice of said election be also posted at each of the voting places in this the said Burnet County. |
