Saturday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Wade entertained with a birthday for  Harrell Williams and K. Cloud on their 2 anniversaries.  After various games were played and the gifts were opened, ice cream and cake were served to the following:

Miss Ethel Davis who has been working in Dallas returned home for a visit.



Mrs. J. M. Cehand accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Milam and daughter, Mary Alice of Austin to Galveston where Mary Alice will enter a hospital for treatment.



Mrs. Vera Horn was the Friday night guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Dillingham and family.



Mrs. Jack Stiles has entered a Temple hospital.



Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Gray of Bertram,  Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Dillingham and Mr. And Mrs. L. S. Skaggs were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Skaggs.



Taylor Smith Jr. is visiting relatives in Sweetwater.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Chamberlain from Falfurrias are visiting their son, Del Chamberlain and family.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Chamberlain were born and reared in Burnet and their many old-time friends are always glad to see them.



Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Craddock, Miss Annie Ruth Nagiller, and Mr. Reuben Fagen visited in San Antonio last Sunday.

Mrs. Thad Glimp
from Adamsville joined her husband at this place Sunday and visited relatives.  Mr. Glimp has been assisting his brother Donald in the erection of his residence on South Main street.


Miss Evylin Henick
who spent last week in Burnet on account of the illness of her father, R. A. Renick, returned Friday to her home in Ft. Worth.  The Bulletin is very glad to state that Mr. Renick is about straight again.

Leo Humphrey
and two sons from Indiana were in this section last week visiting relatives and friends.  Mr. Humphrey was born and reared in Burnet county, and is a son of  Mr. and Mrs. William Humphrey, deceased.  His old time friends were glad to meet him again.


Mr. and Mrs. Amos Jenkins
and family have moved to Burnet from the Lake Victor section and occupy the property on Highway 66 immediately west of the public square that they purchased some time ago from the Lampman estate.  They are splendid people and will be an asset to our little city.


Mr. Powell Harris
from Dallas, with the Reconstruction Finance Corporation has been in Burnet for the past several days on business connected with the Burnet National Bank.


Mrs. Dock Maxwell
returned Tuesday from Arcadia, Texas, where she attended the Golden Wedding anniversary of her sister, Mrs. R. C. Beaver and Mr. Beaver.  She also visited Houston, Galveston and Texas City.  Mrs. Maxwell says she enjoyed looking at the wide expanses of water and the big ships, but that when she got home, Burnet looked the best place in the world to her.

Isaac Newman was a visitor to Such Antonio last Sunday.

Dale Corker spent last weekend with his father and mother in Houston.

Senator Wirts of Austin, was a business visitor in Burnet last Sunday.     



Fred Pabst from Junction, was a visitor to Burnet last Sunday.  He is engaged successfully in farming.

Mrs. Alexander of Lampasas is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Bailey Rogers.  She is Mrs. Rogers' grandmother.

Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Burton are the proud parents of a fine baby girl, born October 17th.

Mr. and Mrs. Mutt Atkinson are the proud parents of a lusty baby boy, born last week.

Miss Jane Watkins from Llano spent Saturday and Sunday in Burnet visiting Mr. and Mrs. Buster Craddock.

Mrs. Tom Fry
of Pleasant Valley who is convalescent from an operation is spending a few weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Biggs.

Lost $10.00 Bill
-- Last Saturday some where in Burnet a little girl lost a ten dollar bill, which she and her little brothers and sisters had made picking cotton.  This means a whole lot to these children and the finder is urged to leave same at the Bulletin office.  Its recovery will bring happiness to this family of children.

Donald Barnett and Stanley Whitley have lately returned from Arizona, where they had been in a CC Camp for several months.  They are glad to get back home.

Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Stephens, Mrs. Henry Guthrie and Mrs. O. A. Riggs spent last Thursday visiting the Baptist Mexican Orphanage at Bastrop.




Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Craddock, Miss Annie Ruth Nagiller and Mr. Reuben Fagan
visited in San Antonio last Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Doran Cornelius are the proud parents of a fine baby girl, born Monday in an austin hospital.  Doran is hitting the ground only in high places.

The first real norther of the winter swooped down on us early Tuesday.  The thermometer registered 45 Wednesday morning, the coldest so far this fall.

Miss Elsie Livingston from Austin visited relatives in this section last week-end.  She was accompanied by W. D. Gildart, who formerly lived in Burnet.

Mr. and Mrs. Buster Craddock were visitors in San Antonio last Sunday.

Doran Cornelius was in Austin Sunday visiting his wife, who is in a hospital in that city.

Bill Love,  who is helping save the country in his capacity as Page in the house of representatives, spent the weekend in Burnet with home folks.
