Mr. Hubert Roosevelt Tindell, age 63, of Burnet, passed away Saturday evening, March 8, in a Ft. Hood hospital.  He was born May 28, 1916 in Houston County, Alabama.  He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist church of Silver creek, a veteran of World War II, the Korean War, had received the Purple Heart, and was retired from the United States Army.  Mr. and Mrs. Tiindell were married November 8, 1939, in Alabama.

Mr. Tindell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Flora Tindell of Burnet;
three sons, Walter R. Tindell of Killeen, Eddie G. Tindell of Clifton, and George A. Tindell of Austin; four grandchildren, Patricia Lynn Tindell, Mary Beth Tindell, and Kelli Keith Tindell, other relatives and close friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, March 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Edgar Memorial Chapel with Dr. R. P. Ward officiating.  Memorial graveside services were conducted at the Lakeland Hills Memorial Park. Services were under the direction of the Edgar Funeral Directors.

Military personnel served as pallbearers.
