| "Real Daughters" Honored
A number of members of the
Llano 2500 Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy paid
tribute to three "Real Daughters" whose fathers actually served in the
Confederate Army during the 1861-65 battle.
The luncheon was held at the Guaranty Federal building and was hosted by Mrs. E. W. Higgins of Llano. All three of the womens' fathers served in the Confederate Army. To be a members, said Mrs. Higgins, a person must prove in blood line from a male ancestor of the Confederate era. She said there are very few "Real Daughters" remaining in the United states and that the Llano chapter was grateful to be able to pay respects to three of the women, all of whom live in the Llano area. |
