This latest cemetery census was done by A. C. "Cecil" Morgan, Dec 2004. Extensive picture documentation was done on all remaining markers.

Margaret (1820 1877) LOVING. The sixteenth Family in Dallas
County. Came by covered wagon and flatboat from Kentucky to Texas
in 1843 as members of the Peters Colony. Arrived in Dallas County
(Then unorganized) in 1844.
On a 640-acre
grant (2 mi. east) from Mercer's Colony, they built log cabin,
raised corn, wove cloth, and boiled soil from salt lick to make
own salt. Had 8 children.
Loving, a
brother of pioneer trail driver Oliver Loving, was killed by
a horse thief in 1869."
NOTE from the 1972 Census indicates some graves on the south and east ends are overgrown with brush and vines, young saplings and impossible to get to, to read inscriptions. Members of the VELASQUEZ family keep the cemetery mowed.
NOTE from the 1972 Census says "No stones exist for the LEDBETTER family, the first to be buried here in 1848. This family contracted small pox on their arrival in Texas."
