E. F. Moser was the son of William Levi (1852) and Mary Elizabeth Kay (1855) Moser. On July 10, 1901, he married Maude Ethyl Manuel. They had six children: Lonnie Mae, Bertie Lee, Mertie Beatrice, Thomas Edward, Margaret Christina, and Edgar William. He was a farmer and a hotel owner. He was an upright man who was active in his church and community.

Maude was the daughter of Edward H. (c 1844) and Alonzo Melissa Mathews (1845) Manuel. On July 10, 1901, in Petty, Texas, she married Edgar Felix Moser. They had six children: Lonnie Mae, Bertie Lee, Mertie Beatrice, Thomas Edward, Margaret Christina, and Edgar William. She was said to have had a witty disposition. She loved her family!
