7. Captain Oscar M. Beavers,
Jr.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Beavers,
Florence, Texas, attended S. W. University, and entered the
Army Feb. 10, 1941, at Fort Sam Houston. Trained at Ontario,
Calif., Lowery Field, Colo., and Luke Field, Arizona. He
served four years with Western Flying Training Command and
4th Air Force in capacity of Armament and Ordnance Officer;
served at Guam, Marianas Air Force Ammunition Controller. He
was released from service Feb. 14, 1946.
8. Corporal E. Y. Beavers
son of Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Beavers, Sr.,
Florence, Texas, and husband of Mrs. E.Y. Beavers,
attended Florence High School. Entered the Army on Dec. 7,
1943, assigned to Engineers Division. Trained at Maryland
for basic and technical training, Camp Beale, Calif., and
Fort Lewis, Washington; transferred overseas June 25, 1945;
served in Marines, Marshalls, Okinawa and Korea. Corporal E.
Y. Beavers was honorably discharged Feb. 14, 1946.
