2nd Lt. Edward Wood Daugherty

born Sept. 2, 1923, son of Mr and Mrs. Ed Dougherty, Burnet, Texas. Volunteered Dec. 10, 1942, at Austin, Texas. Assigned to Army, Air Forces. Trained at Fresno and Van Nuys, Calif. Served overseas from July, 1945, to July, 1946, in Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Served with 419th Night Fighter Squadron of 19th Air Force in Philippines. Rated Aircraft Observer for the P-61 Night Fighter Aircraft. Also served as Squadron Adjutant. Now on inactive duty. [as of 1948]
