Miss Ann James died today about 12 o'clock at the home of her brother, Mr. J. N. James. I don't know her exact age, but I think she was very old and had been in feeble health for a long time. She came from Tenn. here a year or two ago and has since made her home with her brother. We sympathize with her bereaved brother and family. |
Ross Lauderdale, one of Naruna's best boys, who is attending school at College Station, came home last week to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Lauderdale, but returned to school last Friday. Ross is an estimable young man and will certainly make his mark in this world. |

Prairie Point Items.
We have had but little news to report from this section this
time. Every one seems to be enjoying the sunshine after so much
rain. The young people of the community have recently organized a Literary Society which we hope will prove to be interesting as it progresses. Since our last report Mr. Carson and family have moved to the Shady Grove neighborhood, Mr. J. W. Wright has moved to his place and Mr. Pleas Hill from Oatmeal moved into the house vacated by Mr. Wright. |
