left onto CR 4448. After 1.6 miles turn onto CR 4455. At 1.5
miles go due South on CR 4449. Cemetery is .7 miles around a
curve and on the left. Church is on the right. This is one of
several small cemeteries in the Rambo Area between McLeod, Texas and
Vivian, Louisiana. Rambo is its closest community, however like all of
its surrounding communities it mailing address is Bivins, Texas. Its
burials are those of well recognized surnames of the African-American
communities in both areas. A fully functioning church sits just across
the road from the cemetery and services are still held weekly and the
grounds of the church and cemetery are well maintained by the
congregants. The cemetery is approximately one half acre of land in the
curve directly across from the church. |

Hearn Cemetery is named for Capt Tom Hearn, a Captain in the Civil war.
He owned several hundred acres of land in the area. Cemetery is in
three parts. One, Section A, was called Hearn-Abernathy Section and is
surrounded by a manmade rock wall, some 3' high. Second, Section B, was
predominately black. Third, Section C, was predominately white. |

of Dalton Baptist Church on CR 2729. Then 1/4 mile south of that point
into woods owned by International Paper Company. Dalton Baptist Church
is 3.5 miles west of Marietta on Highway 77. There are two cemeteries
located on two adjacent knolls. Moreland Family Cemetery is
predominately white cemetery and is on the 2nd knoll. There are three
marked graves for this family and they are within an iron fence. The
other cemetery is Isaiah Cemetery. |

Turn right on a dirt road. The Church & Cemetery are located at end
of this dirt road, about 1/2 mile. The Cemetery began in the 1850s on
land donated by Isaac Lemmon and Felix Lemmon. |

Hwy 59 north from Queen City for about 5 miles, then take FM 2327,
driving a littleover 1 mile until you come to the RR tracks. At that
point, you will have to go strictly on
foot, walking down the RR tracks, up a hill,
through a fence and then out in the woods. |

cemetery. One section is predominately black and the other predominately
white. To get to the predominately white section: from Main St. take
Louise St. to Cameron St. turn west go two blocks. The

distance. Turn left on CR 1399 for 2.9 miles. Cemetery is
across the road from the Pleasant Hill Church. |

Oldest known burial is
in 1890, but is still in use today. It is located just 1/4 mile off of
Hwy 251 between Huffines and McLeod, Tx on the right. There was a small
sign denoting the church on the main road but no acknowledgment of the
cemetery. New Hope Primitive Baptist Church sits just below the cemetery
on the left side of the road. Church shut its doors as of July 2013
with a special foot washing ceremony, 18 people present. Church sign
now gone. |

road). Road is a narrow, but well-kept lane and ends at the
cemetery. |

Family members of the Anselem PREWITT family were buried in a family
cemetery on his property. The land that belonged to him at the time was
located northwest of Pruitt Lake in the J. L. Chambers headright survey.

that some members of the Scott family were buried there, perhaps one or
two Rendleman children, and perhaps others. |

miles. Graves are on a hill top, on private property. Nothing remains
of the cemetery, cemetery is lost. Old
Timers in the area believe it was a transient family

Catholic Church was built in January 1912 and dedicated on May 21,
1912, by Bishop Lynch of Dallas. The adjacent cemetery was begun in 1915
with the death of "Little Mary" Henderson. The church which no longer
stands was established by the Lambert and Henderson families.This
cemetery is known to be predominately white. |
