That does it! The clean up, reorganization and reconstruction of this website is complete. Hundreds of empty files, duplicate files and superceded files have been deleted. Dozens of orphaned files (on website or harddrive, but not linked) were discovered and have been given a new home. Everything but the Photo Gallery was redone. Every page has been redesigned. All of the broken links have been repaired, although you may find links to dead email addresses. Submitter's email accounts are out of our control. Let us know what you think by posting a note in our Mailing List.

Chasing down broken and stray links.
Several links were found in the old "What's New?" page that were never added to the main page. They were: Cemeteries of Texas, History of the Lone Star State - TEXAS, DAR Genealogical Research System, The Texas Centennial, 1836-1936, DRT Library Weblog, Texas Postcards, Headstone Emblems, Texas Gold Star Mothers and Widows, and The Portal to Texas History.
We lost the link to Texas Landmarks. I believe that it was stored on a private server and was lost when the volunteer, who managed the database, died.
I discovered that we didn't have this, so I added a link to The TXGenWeb Project Orphan Counties.

Recovered lost file on Seven Drowned in Sand Lake.
Recovered lost file on Aycock and Sanford Information.
I found a file that contained a little more information that I added to the end of The Gilmore Family, although it still appears to be an unfinished transcription.
I found another file that contained much more information that I added to the end of Forreston Presbyterian Church. A large portion of this is still missing.

Verified and deleted 32 files on the server that were simply duplicates of others.

Added sources to Historic Springs of Ellis County from an older file.
I split up a list of marriage notices that include: Spencer-McDuffie, Kirkland-Brooks, Powers-Couch, Render-Nall, Freeman-Hawkins, Burgess-White, Beale-Beaumont and Odum-Helton.
Deleted McCulloch Cemetery as is was the same a McCulloch-Whitten Cemetery.
Created a new page for Thomas Wilson Williams Bible Record.
I found a second version of a newspaper clipping transcript and added it to Winnie Davis News of Later Meetings.
I found and much better transcription of W. J. Spencer on Barbara's computer.

Redesigned the 5 pages of Confederate Pension Applications, repaired 2 broken links and rolled them up into a single file. Then I reformatted and moved Civil War Veterans From Other States. Next comes the Confederate Soldiers Buried in Georgia. All were placed into the Civil War Menu.
Remodeled the Sevier Family Old Letters and the Marchbanks Letters and moved them to Letters From The Past.
Moved the Muster Roll of the Texas Mounted Guards into the Civil War Menu.
Remodeled and moved Spanish American War Burials.
Remodeled and moved The Texas Spirit of '17 - [Ellis County men who served in WW1]
Reformatted and moved World War II War Dead.
Created menus for both World War I and World War II to keep like information together.

28 Aug. 2016 Found a lost file that talks about the early days of Ennis and added it to Thriving Cities, Towns and Communities. Found a second version of the History of the CCC Camp, plus a camp roster and two stories written by men that worked there. That's all been placed in Waxahachie. Found a lost article about the Red Oak Institute, later called Ovilla Scool. Look for it in Red Oak.
