I am doing the Family Tree for my Mother Doris Irene (BAKER) FINCHER who's Grandfather was Timothy Lee Holt. or Tim HOLT, but went by the name TL HOLT. The only reason I am doing this research, is my mother is Dying with Cancer, and the Doctor doesn't give her long, We were talking about her family, and she said she always wanted to know who her Grandfather and Grandmother was, and their kids, and relatives, but she last remembered seeing him when she was like 3 years old. This is my mothers wish, to know who her family is. I have never done this type of thing before, and I am really getting discouraged big time, but I can't let her down. I have HOLT Relatives somewhere around Alba, Texas which is Wood County, Texas, I have a photo from there dated 1929. You can view my photo's of the HOLT's that I have at: http://hermistonor.com/bakers/index.html Timothy Lee HOLT - She named my brother after him because he was Tall and Lanky But I guess they called him TL, he lived in Alba Texas. Atleast we have a photo from about 1935 from the Wiseman Studio, Hico, Texas... Can't remember his wife's name He had several Children, But only Mom could only remember her Aunt Inez and of course her own mother Alice. Inez HOLT and Alice Arlene HOLT. But my Mothers Sister Catherine Arlene (BAKER) WALDRON can remember a story that her grandpa told her. He said that his wife had died, leaving him with all the children including an infant. He couldn't care for all of them, so gave some of them 2 or 3 up for adoption and kept the others. She thought she remembered him saying there was 5 or 6 kids total in the family, and Alice and Inez was two of the ones he kept. Inez had Red Hair Alice Arlene HOLT married Cecil Robert BAKER of Kansas, but she was pretty sure that Cecil met Alice in Texas, and was married in New Mexico in 1929. Then moved to Kansas later. The Only Date I have to go on is Alice Arlene HOLT was born 26 Apr 1907, and Died 18 Jun 1978. I know she past away in Eureka, California because I went to the funeral. Her Husband, and Father of her only two children that we know of Cecil Robert BAKER was born in Kansas on 21 Sept 1902 and died in Wallowa Oregon on 5 Oct 1948 Alice Arlene married twice before my grandfather Cecil Robert BAKER. The first two are unknown, but must have been between 1923-1928. The first guy was shot and killed by his own father just 2 weeks after Alice and Him were married. The second guy was also killed a month after they were married. Then she married Cecil Robert BAKER in New Mexico in 1929. This I find odd... But the obituary of Cecil's states that Alice Arlene was from Alba, Texas, and it states they were married in New Mexico, So this is all I have to go on. Alice Arlene then married another guy, about 1950 he died, then she married Charles BISHOP around 1954. Alice Arlene Died with the Name of Alice Arlene Bishop Can you Help me find this lineage. I am looking for Tim HOLT and his parents, and back. And who all his children are.... Alice Arlene HOLT was one of the 5 or 6 kids. I would greatly Appreciate your help. I have been working on this, and every where I turn I get a dead end, Trudy Myrland 81078 Wagon Wheel Loop Irrigon, OR 97844 (541) 922-6394
