TX. Who were Tom's parents? Did he and Mattie have any children. There is a Thomas JORDAN listed in the 1900 Wood Co. census, but he is living alone. Is this the same Tom JORDAN who married Mattie and if so, did Mattie die before 1900? I'm afraid this is what happened since he is living next door to Mattie's brother.

TX census under her father (Thomas BAGBY) as E. WINKLE along with her son Thomas WINKLE (age 9; b GA). Thomas H. WINKLE (b 31 Oct 1859 Murray Co. GA; d 25 Apr 1949 Quitman, Wood Co. TX) married Margaret R. PHILIP 20 Apr 1886 in Wood Co. TX. It is believed they had a daughter named Maye, but I don't know anything else about this family

John married Dora --?-- abt 1892. Dora was born in Mar 1873 and died in 1941 (buried at Ebenezer Cemetery). John and Dora didn't have any children but they did take in 3 BAGBY children who had been orphaned: Mattie Leola "Ola", Etta Mae, and Christopher Columbus "Lummie."
